thinkin of goin for a track-slag look on it, half cage sprayed white in the back, air duct through the foglight holes in the grille, fat exhaust and so on......

cheerz mate, gonna av a go at paintin the rusty bits tommorow, bit of a hole to sort near the fuel cap too.

tidied a few rusty bits today, still got the hole near the fuel cap to do, took the armour door plates off, drivers side ok, passenger side been broken into, so had to put it back on, startin to take shape tho...............

look at the shine on that front wheel!! they look proper mad when the sun hits them.

heres a question, what grille would you go for on this one??
i aint really sure, dont want de-badged, might just stick the fogs back in tommorow and see what it looks like, i think i prefer single lamp grilles on a small bumper tho.

Single lamps on a small bumper just seem to look right. Put a GTI 4 lamp grille on mine but soon went back. Boy racers drove faster when they saw the 4 lamps in their mirrors tho lol!

im really thinkin about removin the arches and side strips, weldin the holes , and gettin it smooth, gonna have to rip them off and see how bad the rust is behind the arches.

no mate I think it looks better with the arches as it breaks the colour up from the white to give a bit of contrast

new grille on, dont think i really like it, it was a chrome edged cl grille with a chrome badge, tried it on and it looked cack, so i red striped it, and blacked the badge , still unsure...........

what about a white badge?

Nowt wrong with that you just need some German pressed plates and it will finish it off

yeh, i keep seein a mk2 round town with white pressed plates front and rear, gonna have to get some.

got a bit of stance now, spacers are on the rear, gotta do some arch choppin tommorow. no pics yet as didnt wanna waste precious drinking time!
