New 2 vw wold

Hi vw owners

I have owned a mk1 golf gti for the last 7 years but never thought to come on the gti forum until i bought a mk3 golf gti and t had a sticker from a different club but decided to try this because had a little look thru, every1 seems alright and happy to help each other out.

My name is Jamie im 20 live in a village called North Somercotes, near louth

I have a mk1 1.6 gti and a mk3 2.0 gti both projects, the mk1 has been my on going project for the last 6-7 years got the car pretty much standard, spent alot of time and money on her and you will see the results a little further down the page, the mk3 i bought only a week ago and soon hoping for it to be my day to day car within the next week,

thanks for reply guys, yea scooby is around 350 bhp, english weather has discoloured the bumpers and spoiler abit so im going to get the mk3 n scooby sprayed together (full resprays).

MK1

Got the car when i was 14, have recipts for 13K and thats not including the little bits, but i recon all the little bits added together is a few K, still an ongoing project, just need the interior tidying, eyebrow, sidestrips and spoiler fitting but its on hold til i get the mk3 done.

MK3

I have smoothed the nasty little bumps of the top and bottom of both bumpers and spoiler and have sprayed them black also along with the side strips and side skirts ready for the middle of the bumper to be sprayed red with the rest of the car, 1 of the previous owners had tryed smoothing in the boot and made a terrible job of it, i stripped all the crappy filler off and re-did it professionally, its looking 100 times better than when i got it and getting it sprayed by friday.

yea was on ebay a couple of months ago, tryed it once when i lost my rag with it and just wanted rid, but its al gud now!! its still on pistonheads but cant be arsed to take it off

lupo lu, i havent seen you about, im usually down the seafront, not in a dub, but in my 306 gti-6 or clio 1.8 16v both modified, i will keep a look out for ya.

shes far too scene mate!!! lol!! im from mabo so again not too far from ya! thats where i spotted it on the bay,was tempted but my car hadnt sold by then!

dont go down the front much any more cos i mostly sit at home and get leathered lol so sad.

i would go down the seafront but not sure if i could get over the speed humps

yer true a few people tend to go to the massive car park where the pavillion pub used to be its now a massive chinese all you can eat thing.

is that up near the bowling alley mcdonalds and kfc...

just down from pleasure island ?

The grass there is very good and hard, use to have month Vectra C meets there.

Maybe worth a meet there sometime.... Just an idea

yeh it is. we had one once before in cleethorpes and we used to car park to pleasure island. we was gonna do it down the front but there is speed bumps.

bit of an update on the golf

finally got her sprayed up (pics below) and got her slammed on Supersport 60mm shocks and springs, picking up my new alloys today there 16" dezent look very nice tho, i hadnt fitted the suspension in the pic but will get some nice pics up soon, cheers

damn that is looking mint now bud! u got any old 5 stud alloys u want shot of???

yes mate, got the original alloys, i used them to spray the car so i wasnt bothered about getting paint on them, all tyres are ok tho.

cheers for the comment, ive spent some time n effort on her the past few weeks, my prep work really paid off its near mint

just took a few pics of the golf today, still havent rubbed her down and buffed it up but gonna do that tomorro, have a look and post your comments, cheers
