| anyone got a clue? ive been reading about all this dodo juice n clay bars but whats the crack, worth it or stick with t-cut and autoglym? im curious coz i dont have a scooby doo about the different compounds and i would love to get rid of the swirl marks on my car. i know the detailers use loads of proper polishing mops n probably some g3 or whatever but the results ive been reading about are stunning! cars that look like shi*e look like new! if anyones got any websites or links to guides then feel free to post them! cheerz! | |

| You will want a fine cutting compound like G3 or a clay kit which any good car shop should sell and can be done by hand I believe. Then just keep it waxed and polished as per normal. | |

| furry muff tom,but i was kinda wondering what u actually do with the clay,is it a polish or wax or summit?? i know that dodo juice is meant to leave the car looking like its wet or glossy, and makes the car smell fruity lol,but thats £35 a tub which is the size of a hair gel tub from superdrug!! lol | |

| Clay is sort of like a polishing compound, it removes a bit of the paint to cut it back to the good paint behind and cus of this its the sort of thing you should only do once in a while. you use a spray that comes with the clay. spray it on the paint rub with the clay bar to remove all the dirt and shizzle to bring back the shine, then give it a polish after it bring the shine up a bit more, then wax it to protect the shine and after that you should have no need to polish it again for a while just wash and wax to keep the shine up, if any of that make sense 2 u lol | |

| usually when i do mine i clay it 2 times a year. So first wash the car and rinse with Meguire Car wash Next i us G3 to cut the paint back Then Use a clay bar and spray to smooth the the paint work (this makes a hugh difference to the touch) Next comes a had Wax not liquid stuff. Then once this has been done i use a top gloss coat which is a liquid to seal it in..... Waititng for a good day, when i do i will get some pics up | |

| dude, if you get the celophane wrapper off of a pack of fags or somin (no kids im not promoting smokin, drugs are bad umkay!) and rub your car with it a little bit you can feel its all grainy, rough and horrible! then if you do the same after you have clayed ya car its reet smooth like ya dogs ears! just gets all the sh*t off ya paint work that you cant even see. i bort wifey dodo juice and you only need to use it once a month at most, it last long. if you wash ya car with merg gold class shampoo it doesnt take the wax off either so just get the merg towel and dry ya car no need for wax! | |

| ive just sat and read ballys thread on e38 about detailin his corrado, looks awesome on shmidts, but thats beside the point, he was cleaning his car ALL FOOKIN DAY!!, it was dark when he finished! im all for washin my car even polishin, but all this big hairy testicle's is just crazy!, you could pay for a respray with the money used to buy all the other cack you need!! what a mince! granted it looked nice when finished, but only looked different to earlier that day if you hold a torch up to the paint to see the "imperfections",dunno about you but when i go to look at cars i dont have a fookin torch with me !!!! | |
