braided hoses

they seem to be fairly expensive, are they worth it?

Defiantly Lu! Had them on bikes, Triumph and the Polo. Firm up the feel of the pedal (or lever on the bikes lol!) cause they don't expand like standard rubber hosing! Especially old rubber hosing! Plus they look the sex!

goodridge do all sorts of colours n sh*t but for extra moolah. so im thinkin the clear/standard ones are fine? 41 quid off ebay for mine.

Goodridge hose kit for my Polo was £42. I know it sounds dear but even standard aftermarket rubber hoses are £5 to £20 depending on the car. Some are dearer. Times that by 4 and I think the Goodridge ones can be value for money!

Wen i priced them up for the golf a while ago they were £9 summits each for rubber ones and needed all 4 so got the braided ones of ebay for bout £40.

If you are buying braided hoses please ensure that you purchase the version with the teflon outer covering.
What happens on the non coated type of braid is grit works its way though the braid and can abraid the inner hose which can lead to failure and a sudden lack of brakes.
