tbh mate the engines are pretty much bulletproof! i know of a couple that are running around 270bhp so they aint too sluggish either! vr's are great if you can afford to maintain them,i couldnt hence why mine has gone! stupid things like coilpacks and leads n plugs are costly but once they are done and the chains n tensioners are sorted then they are good to go!

ooooo scooby, what model? i can honestly say after owning an impreza a vr6 was more economical and cheaper to fix, after all there is only 1 coil pack on a vr,which is an easy fix compared with an impreza which has 4 and are a twat to get at! if the value is the same all i can say is this time next year the impreza will lose more money and the mk2 will still be worth the same,if its a good one then id probably go for it! but thats me! and obviously if u have a type-r impreza or 22b then id have to think long and hard about it!

Charger will give aprox 50% more output. Bad points charger requires specialist servcing around 15 to 20,000 miles. Costing £400ish. that engine in a golf would be amazing

Just to comment on the supercharger those kits were mega money to buy when new somewhere around £3500 if it was done by a company called Nick Sarran Racing
