not for the mo as theres a bit of bodywork to tidy up, new rear valance and it's ahad a minor nock by the passenger back light that needs a spot of filler!

that and a good coat of underseal on the bottom!!!!

possibly need to sort the brakes as it's a typical small block mk1.

I may have missed this but what's the motor in it?

it's only the 1.1, but that means I can sort the chassis and running gear first and whack a pologt lump in on bike carbs once i have the spare dosh!

the dude i got my second 16v kr motor from for my mk2 was going to put that in his mk1. have you thought about that as the insurance will be the same as I bet you won't declare it lol. and the noise with an ashley is lush....

prob is the small block mk1 have a dif engine mount, and to fit the bigger motor means adding a new mount whereas the polo gt lump goes straight in! tbf i'm not bothered about a big block as the small blocks can be just as quick as a gti if set up right.

polo gt is a 75hp 1.3, but cammed up on bike carbs they can pull over 100p if done right. of course then theres a g40 if i get rich lol

but the only problem with not decralin is if the rozzers pull u over for doin 120 in a 1.1 golf they'll b a bit suspicious lol, but a polo gt lump looks the same as a 1.1

lol Jamie Course i'm gonna declare it! most of the guys in the mk1 club recon that engine swaps below 1.6 do nothing to insurance, £50 at most, so I'm not worried. once i've got a years no claims this summer I shall prob whack one in.
