had a little play with the door cards

got some new seats to go in so old ones up for sale as soon as I get them out and cleaned

so whats wrong with the engine?

It needs new valve stem seals, tappets, a clutch, sump gasket, a couple of water hoses and maybe other things as well

well it dont need any subs dude coz last time i seen you that thing was pounding the ground lol hope its back on the road soon bud. are you coming to GTI internatianol in june

weall as it seems youd be taking the head and gearbox off, id consider taking the block out too and replacing it with a tall block from a mk3 for added torque.

mk3 engines can be picked up for pennies

Thought about tall block but u can't get strut brace on with them so i've heard. Need suspension as well for a bit more comfort got spax adjustables on set to hard handles great but its scary as hell any softer be good for a track tho.

Andy having a rethink on subs thinking 1 more and not sure on GTi international depends on cash flow

probably true about strut brace as bonnet/throttle body clearance is an issue with tall block mk2's...my 2 included.

however this can be rectified by using a variety of different mounts, however yooull become your local dealers best friend in figuring out which!

some of the old audi 2.0 blocks werent tall block. though i cant remember engine codes!
so if you wanted a 2.0 you could go down this route.

had an 2.0 audi 80 about 5 years ago wish i'd never sold it now

actually did something at last engine and gearbox now out

started taking things to bits and the bloody exhaust manifolds got a crack in it ( good excuse to get 4 branch).

new seats fronts welded on golf seat bases

bit more work on the rears hopefully have them in soon

I just cut the old runners off only a couple of mill difference in width

nice mate,they are new enuff to be tidy yet retro enough to go in a mk2! nice choice!

at the price i got them for i wasn't say no

just wish it was back on the road but major lack of funds

another big delay piston rings gone

hopefully pick new engine up at the weekend

There appears to be something missing off that block.
They usually have 1.8 or 2.0 cast on the back about where that A is. What bottom end is it??
