mine on the polo was a funky ting on the original air box..on yours i reckon if u trace the air system to where it enters ya manifold should be round there somewhere...like i say may be wrong and if i am sure someone will correct me ....by that time u would of been outside and seen for yaself anyhow lol....should av a plug wiv one of them shitty clips on and u gonna need a spannar me thinks to remove it? like i said may be wrong but its a definate nod in the rite direction

Stood in front of your car, it should be on the left hand end of the inlet manifold. It will have a braided fuel hose to it and a electrical connection with two wire in it. Same place as a 1.8 16v KR code. Unplug the wires and see if it starts better.

Apparently all the Escort RST and early XR3i boys run they unplugged to improve starting.

Failing that try the cold start valve off my KR, see if it work cos I don't want it lol!
