I've seen them go for 700quid onwards! But most are the earlier 1s with the plastic arches. If only I had the moolah to run a vrarrrr.. mmmmmmmmm

mate they aint that bad! vrs can be quite economical,just when u get a heavy foot!!lol

unless it was my starlet, a 1.3 turbo with more power than a VR was pretty good

lol yeah ure starlet might have bt my gearbox is bullet proof!!!vr engine's are a good base to get a charger or turbo fitted,2.9 they reckon highlines are,with a turbo or charger not much under 280bhp!

my mates evo 4 has 280bhp, and that thing is AWESOME

thats insane with 4wheel drive! got a bit more control over that than a vr i should imagine!my scooby was about 250bhp and that was fun!

my starlet was about 180bhp and that was dangerous around wet roundabouts! Would have been an animal with an LSD

i must admit id like another turbo'd motor but itd have 2 be an all out rice rocket like a gtr or rx7!

traitor! you can buy a 400bhp starlet for about 4-5k

i nearly bought a 2.4 turbo rx7 a few yrs ago before i got my golf
i wanted sumomt with daft power all to the rear wheels

was only gonna cost me the same as my mk2 to insure it £800 for the year

well,u all know its been sold. ive had the exhaust done at a company in market rasen called custom performance,i think?! full cat back powerflow system,and it sounds sweet! also had them do the cv boot while it was there coz they are a ballache to do,i bet they wished theyd never told me £20 for it and to be done,3hrs later it was fixed lol! good people tho,exhausts were made on the premises,can even do custom work like the flash intake pipes etc oh and his project thats hidden away is something of pure brilliance,he built it from the ground up,custom chasis etc etc and its pushing 1100bhp!!! also the next company to them build the chasis for the bowler bobcat's!! well impressed with there work,vr definatly felt the gains from a decent system! shame i popped a water pipe on the way home tho,just glad i had insulting tape and some water in the car to get me home,but it was flying!!lol

what tail pipe did you get?
