finaly got a new vw, picked up my 1.3 mk2 polo a week ago and im surprised how fast it is for a 1.3 lol

heres a pic of how it looked wen i bought it



so far all iv done is sort out a cold air feed and play about wit the carb to try and get a lil more power, also fitted mk3 gti seats,

and then i got bored wit the whole standard ride height so .................




and heres how it looks now

lol tom u no i cant have a car with out bodgin it will get a suspension kit at some point jst cant afford it yet lol, thinkin im gonna roll the arches 2moz and mayb lose another coil lol

and on the polo's mega soft standard dampers it'll be on the bumpstops not the shocks

if you go on polo3.co.uk they have apost on how soft the dampers are!!!! like riding a marshmallow as standard

lol i no all the risks but tbf ride aint bad at all and the amount iv taken out theres still plenty of travel and no chance of buckled wheels

i wish i could do somethin more wothout buyin colilies to lower the back of the caddy a lil more it still aint sat right its to high compared to the front of the car

chimp mate get some plates welded up to hold the leaf springs lower under the beam???

it's already had the axle flipped i believe, so it's just a case of making the axle sit higher!

Quite right Jon! All he needs is longer U bolts and some steel plates to get it down more at the back.

sounds like a nice easy job that shouldnt cost me a lot as im totally skint atm

look easy enough cant be hard longer U-bolts n then a couple of bits of metal 2inches in size saves spendin £34.50

dont forget you will need to get the front down as well chimp and coilovers are the easiest way the get the front down to match the rear!

now then Tom that isn't strictly true...

easiest way is an angle grinder....

that only takes 5 mins lol
