| Been to pick up yet another mk2 golf today, knew it wouldn't be long before I was back in one 1988 E plate gti 16v "campaign" 10 millionth special edtition Helios blue metallic Coilovers ABF cams Electric windows (working!) Central locking (also working!) Jetex exhaust 14x9 banded steelies Will take some pics tomorrow when I've put all the arch trim and plastics back on, as they have been removed! And this is the 1st car I've ever been pulled in during a test drive (surprise surprise because of the wheel pokage!) These are the only pics I have at the mo... | |

| To be honest, the bodywork isn't as good as I'd hoped, but it drives better than I thought it would. Anyways I knocked him down accordingly, and I can't stop smiling everytime I boot it! Them ABF cams make a noticable difference to a normal valver!
I'm 95% I'm gonna big bumper this one though, mainly because it has a poor patch up job on the rear valance. But I wanna bring it up to date, maybe with some 90 spec arches and skirts.
It's even come with wing mirror blanks for shows!

| thanks guys, i love it, reminds me of everything i love about mk2s, you even have to tap the dash to make a dash light come on behind the clocks! now thats a proper old mk2!
the bootlid is rotten badly though, but they gave me a mint mars red gti bootlid, that I'm gonna attempt the paint up, without taking the vinyl off from around the back window

| the thing is this really doesn't mate. Them AGG engines are thirsty and lazy. I managed 35mpg all the way back from gloucestershire doing 80-90 all the way, and for once the MFA wasn't lying! Gave it a wash and chamois earlier, no point polishing it until my arches are back on, as the glue won't set on the polished surface. Here's a pic this morning after the wash, putting arches and trim back on now | |

| The car has done 191k, but is on a 100k engine, and lets just say I paid the going rate for average condition valvers, only this one has the bonus of a mint bootlid and spares, oh and them uber deep rims | |
