| theres a plate of metal welded onto the seams of the rear valance either side and it looks like a 5 year old welded them on! one of them even covers the towing eye, i think its even been cut off to be honest! i reckon it was just a bodge job to pass an MOT in the past. There's no real rot issues there now, its just ugly, and I'd rather it be covered up | |

| yea go for it, as long as the repair is cheaper than buying big bumpers! i need a driver's side front wing as well as its a little bit rotten on the front bottom of the wing, and has a bad filler repair near the windscreen, and it has laquer peel, so I guess a new wing would be the easiest thing to do. I'l take a pic of it tomorrow dood | |

| The only bits I'm defo in a hurry for are the little grommets that go in the window winder holes, as I have leccy windows but missing the grommets for the holes in the door cards, and a driver's side rear seat belt, as mine is duff and can only have one baby car seat in at a time! Also a CL splitter until I get big bumpers would be nice, or even a valver splitter as I'm considering raising the front a bit. Oh and I would swap my leather G60 steering wheel for a smaller one, like a polo GT one And another thing, sorry I keep editing this! I need the little pull out tray that goes on the driver's door, or better still a pair of speaker pods, I know theyre rare, but worth asking! | |

| Been busy spending a grand total of 20quid today to get some important bits done, the interior is now complete with no missing trim at all. Now has a CL front splitter, window winder blanks, pull out tray on drivers door, drivers side rear seatbelt, the thin metal plate that goes on the bottom of the grille, and chrome wolfsburg mirror adjusters thanks to chimp. Also aquired another rocker cover and exhaust manifold for a grand total of nothing Gonna polish up this spare rocker cover methinks, then may attempt the inlet manifold at some point. | |

| Cars looking ace. I dont mind a little stretch either, I'm not sure if there are are any safety implications with too much, like "will my tire be pulled off the rim during hard cornering?" | |

| there is a fine art to stretch i reckon! too much and it can look shi*e,they just have to sit right on the right car for me,plus the lower tyre wall equals lower car thrown in with new tyres! like i said mine are more for purpose otherwise id have some real ballache arch work needed! | |

| I can see if from the practical point, it's a way to have wide wheels and keep the tread pattern under the arches. How do the tires feel through corners though? I've never drivern a car with stretch before. | |

| having thought about it, I suppose with a bit of stretch then there'll be less movement in the sidewalls during laterial movement. | |

| Thats my way of looking at it, and I can throw my golf into corners, and it doesnt at all feel like the tyres are going to come off! | |

| Check out show cars and have a look to see how many have the corect size tyre to the size of rim and it wil be very few, I think the reason alot dont have stretch tyres is because they are unsure of which tyre they will need or which rim.
There more practical than for looks | |
