rollin I got a problem.1986 gti , side lights both ok but when you go up to dipped beam, drivers side goes real dim and when you go up to main, drivers side goes out. HELP =-

i know it's stupid, but check the bulbs???

other than that it's prob the switch. all the light wires go through the switch, wich is def not ideal.

buy one of the improved wiring loom kits off ebay, that may very well sort the prob. or just build your own. thers a guide online somewhere, matey-matey i think.

ive had this b4 and changed the switch and it cured it.

Tried the switch and still no go. where is the earth for the headlights on a 1986 golf GTI?Doing my bloody head in. Got bored so was playing with speakers in garage.
