you QUATT!!!

well as u may or may not know the rado blew its head,sold the rims,sold the coilies,sold the steering wheel and then the lad who took my d90s came back for the car! all in all i didnt do too badly out of it if im honest,got it a year ago,kept the pioneer head unit and made a few quid px'ing parts so it was still moveable and basically sold it for 200 short of what i got it for,keeping the sounds that were in it and with it being broken. i was on the hunt for something a little newer,either a half decent passat or an audi a4,but it had to be the 'right' sort tho,good spec,better engine than the 1.8se i had before,the right colour etc etc etc so after scouring the trader and ebay and local rags for weeks,i chanced offering a cheaky sum for an a4,a week later i tried again,even cheakier and this time i got a yes,so i went to have a look,test drive,thorough going over and bought it,turned out to only be in grimsby/cleethorpes.bargain i think,it came with a few trim issues but they are cosmetic,fsh by audi,loads spent on maintaining it so it seems like a good buy! heres some pics,not sure on plans as yet,sorting insurance n tax is more of a priority,oh and fuel!!!





doesnt quite have the same roar i was hoping for but it does better on juice than the rado and is quite quick but not golf vr quick!

nice ride, they dont have the same roar as the vr , i think its down to the angle of the v engine as its diffo.... get some pimp tint on the glass and slap some big wheels on

lol yeah i agree with the windows n rims,maybe a little drop,not going coilies tho,wanted some comfort!! not sure what way to go for rims? nah engine is well quiet,looks nice tho so bit of a compromise!

thanks mick, i thought it was a bit different,dont see many in this grey metallic,thinks it dolphin grey but not 100% as it just says grey on log book lol!

project dub????? haha only messing like i said ross looks cool potential there as well dont have to do much slight drop so keep comfort and bit of rimiage rs6 would look rs4 rims would look sweet induction and back box give it bit more sound

lol hey man every part has a vw stamp lol!! yeah thinking of going rs4 way with it,just funds so for now the wheels might get some paint and a tidy.maybe drill the air box and get a k&n panel filter for the induction roar!

well i aint done much to this,mainly clean it and get the paint looking good!did take the airbox out and add a few holes to it,got the filter out and banged all the dust out and dyson'd it,runs alot smoother now! insurance and tax are vital but im hoping to have some rims on her soon,even if they are budget replicas i can paint up,just gotta find em cheap,beese keep hold of them rims for me im working on it!!

has anybody taken the audi rings off the boot before? are there any holes underneath or will it just be stuck on? also i know of methods to get the badges off but i want to be careful this time so if u have any good,quick and easy methods of getting them off feel free to post some!

not sure whats behind at worse a recess but shouldnt be no pin holes etc.... i used to use thick cotton or fishing linne to cut through the foam bit as close to paint as you can, then pickle it off with you fingernail , then t cut that area or the whole boot and job done.... heatguns dont wok that well on the oe badges

I always use fishing wire or an old credit card mate.. then use wd40 to ease the sticky stuff, then t-cut n polish as Gaz said..

nice one lads,i got the a4 badge off easily,just thought the rings being gone could look extra smooth,at worst if there are holes then it will go back on! thanks for the advice!

yer i took all mine off ,the rings,a4 and the 1.8t .thay only stuck on so thay easy to get off,when i got em off i used tar an glue remover to get what was left on

nice one mate,ive done it all today,took some hours of picking,bit of t cut and job done,does look loads better,smoooth! left the quattro badge on coz its small so indiscreet!

here's a few recent pics of the beast! been out with the meguiars gold class liquid wax and used the meguiars tyre shine on all my bits of black plastic trim to tidy them up. little mods done due to lack of funds. first off i shortened the aerial a fair bit to make it more stubby,but still wanted it to look original,then on the rear theres no badges,except the quattro one. got the piece of trim for the rear passenger side now and after the minor viscous coupling explosion, had to get one of those,new fan blades etc as they got obliterated! thinking of letting her go as funds are tight atm so im looking to downsize slightly,cant see me being happy in a 1.4 but then again if the right car came along who knows!
