My boring old daily

Got rid of my other 2 rides cus iv got to commute to boston and back everyday and needed something more reliable and economical than my mk2, so i bought this thinking it would be,



got it with a fooked battery but got a brand new one included in sale,

turns out it wasnt the battery it was the alternator ....

but lucky enough went on ebay someone selling one 3 miles down the road sellin one ... fu*king win, cost me ten whole pounds and was fitted within the hour, gotta b some sort of record within one hour identified the problem, sourced the part on ebay, fitted the part,

cant do standard cars so on go coilovers and a debadged grill,

pics of it before i got chance to wind the coilovers down,






excuse the chavvy wheels but there 17s and got brand new tyres on

and so far all its cost me is £585 including all the parts

the coilovers are alot lower now just aint got any pics yet,

plans are roll front arches to get even more lows new rims thinking of summet a bit special for this and currently looking into air ride mayb if i can afford

ya to start wit i was after an oil burner but this came up sill cheap and i got made a stupid offer for my polo on edition so had to buy it, iv still got cash left over from selling my polo even after buying this and all the sh*t for it, but 31 mpg its gettin atm aint the best lmao

sounds about right for an 8v GTI, main reason I wouldn't own another 2.0 8v, crap ecomony for 115bhp, I just couldn't justify it. You'l sell it on soon and make ya money back anyway
go buy a GTD, faster, cheaper to insure, and 50mpg+, and I run it on veg oil at less than a quid a litre

it would probably pull the wheels off a it better if they were a darker colour tbh. mk3s sit well on 17s, unlike a mk2 lol

its not even a gti lol its a 1.8 se 90 bhp bad boi, its as bad as a gti for consumption and its even slower, but ill put it on edition and club polo make a few quid off it

1.8se? nooooo they're about as useless as a nun in a brothel lol. at least its low lol

yup 1.8 se, all the gti shiz like seats and archs, the worst thing about it is it costs exactly the same as a gti to insure :s where if i only had a gl it would be 150 quid less to insure, should of done my research first realy

still looks sweet on its arse mate and its a lot better mpg's than mine!

Agree with slim on that one - I'd be well happy with 31mpg!!
I'd try moving that on as a complete car as it sits rather than breaking it.

ya man its up for sale got my heart set on somethin else, it'll b my first non vag car in a few years, but i'll still be keeping it german, just need to run around in this for a few months till i get the funds together
