mk4 golf wheel size?

iv just got a mk4 but unsure what size rims to buy i think 17" will b to small as my coilovers have 112mm drop so i think 18" 8" on the frount 9" on the bk ... any ideas?

think you got it about bang on there, 17s on a mk4 usually require balloonish tyres to fill the arches.

ive got 17's on my mk4, i havnt got balloon tyres either and my arches are filled.

however my subframe is ruined.

that was the other thing i didnt want,im after the look but trying to keep the damage down to a minimum , you got any pics of ya mk4 on here?

i got 18 lowered just enough so my driveshaft dont catch on arb

I forgot that bit, you have to go bigger than 17s to go really low otherwise you need a chassis notch. If you don't your passenger side driveshaft will rub on the chassis leg, like my ibiza did. I was as low as I could go on the front of that Ibiza cuz of this. And your subframe will hit the floor, kinda like running a decked mk2 on 13s

if i was you though and had a choice of nice 17's or nice 18's or would go for the 18's mate cuz your less likly to get caught out on things.

my subframe scrapes on everything

ive been refused at garages before when going for MOT's. ive been told to take the car away and try somewhere else cuz its too low

Im selling my rs6s soon if youll be interested, theyre 18x8 all round 5x100 with 215/35 fronts and 215/40 rears all got 5mm+ tread, got 15mm spacers on the back atm but have got some 20mm ones to go on at the weekend. Not best of pics but gives you an idea
