New project Mk2 Golf Gti

picked up a Oak Green Golf Gti 8v last saturday , 140,000 miles with Fsh . Its a 91 run out model paint work very good no rust. Apart from lowering her i intend to restore wheels n paint engine & want to keep it standard. pictures to follow Asap.

lol nah did all the other touristy type sh*t tho,annoy the locals!! primrose valley haven is out of the "friendly to dubs" camp sites,splitter and even a scrape of the wishbone,not the best place,i shouldve got some pics of the speed bumps,ridicularse!! nice drive tho,rado never missed a beat!!

sounds fun day out mate that splitter must of taken a battering . I bet the local inbreeds was staring at the wide rado in town. What s the latest on slamming the rear further.

mine will have to wait for a bit,wanna cut the arches,can get the tools and do it,just a bit wary of it!! got some stares,left it in the park n ride tho,too much hassle in town!

thanks Cotney mate , slim think were restricted in Rado 's of where we can drive to without finding the dreaded speed bump. I Got mot in july may have to raise the front end else it wont get on the garage ramps.

Started work on few jobs this week , Replaced the Gearbox due to the 2nd gear crunch syndrome also found a Driveshaft that had started to seize up , both front wheel bearings & Ball joint. This week fitting coilovers hate the standard stance plus to get rid of body roll.

Did you rebuild the gearbox or fit a recon'd one? I'm having a similar fun time with my gti...
