Project Garry Golf Mk3.

Hey guys, this is my bargin of a mk3. Its a Golf GL Tdi, with 157k on it.

Bought with no TnT.. Would only go in to 1st and 2nd. Drivers window doesnt work, just makes a clicking noise. And window behide it, has come off its runners!

This is when i went to first view it, at my mates house..










As you can, pretty dirty! Really gay wheels. Smash rear light, which i can't seem to find any where, as i really like them!


After a quick hose down. I wired orange sidelights in and my angel eye rings in!


And in the dark..





And how it looks now..




Sorted the gear linkage out, was a plastic clip that had snapped! Never ever replacing a other 1 of them again! what a ball ache that was!


Anyway, it goes in for its mot tomorrow morning at half 8 in the morning.



TO DO LIST - Will cross out as i go!

Wing Mirror Glass. - Passenger side is missing, and Drivers side is cracked!
Passenger Side Indicator - Doesnt work.
No sidelights wired in. - Will wait for mot
Gearlinkage - Cracked in half, wont select other gears.
Drivers window . - Motor dead?
Rear Drivers window. - Come off runner.
Sort wiring out inbetween the door. - Earth has come apart.
New wheels!
Replace front fogs

Front Indicators. - Halfords - 4.99
Wing Mirror Glass. - Halfords - SR217/SR128 - £9.49
Rear Corroded to excess. - o/s - £40

With some TLC, this could end up being a stunning little Golf, jam packed with potential as it stands.

Hopefully mate! I didn't like the front lights, but they have really grown on me, i love the hole black front look!

Soo.. Garry Golf failed its mot today.. badly!

them front lights look chavtastic jonny, I'm gonna take a hammer to them as they offend my eyes!

Lol, i do like vento front ends.. but only on 3 doors.

??? I don't see how having extra doors affects the front end lol

Soooooooooo..... Golf is gettin welded.... This is the damage...






Rear 1 is a right twat, near the fuel lines n sh*t.. but never mind.

At least it's not too bad, should be a straightforward patch, except for the rear one, of course.

Right, so i've heard.. the front 1 is now done..


Was meant to be all done yesterday, but the welder is pretty fooked.. He has to go slowly, and do a bit at a time..


No worries tho, hopefully retest this week.

Got my mirrors and indicators now. Ready for mot.

Well, its on the road now, Tnt...

update for ya, he's got my mk3 driver seats in now... very comfy! All working lights, new speakers, and a bit of a fire in the head unit wiring!
