well been looking on the internet all day after shack come and collected the ibiza and found a mk3 golf tax and tested till the end of the month needs a thermostat housing or the exiting one repairing. i even got a boot lid chucked in with it as the number plate light hole has rusted away on the current 1

well i got her home from rochdale and to be fair not a bad buy.stands me at 60 quid for the diesel to get down there and paid 180 quid for the car.

so went out this morning and had a good look at it

firstly i found a puddle in the passenger side footwell due to the door seal fitted incorrectly 1 job done . then found out the glove box is broke. it also come with a back box that was hanging down the rubbers are perished easy fix. also the day before i bought it he had a new window in the drivers rear as some idiot popped it and nicked the sub. so had to hooooooover the back of the car out. while i was there i hoovered the lot. also got a spare alternator,starter motor and a thermostat housing.

it also doesnt need athermostat housing as all he did is make a gasket out of a cereal box when it needs a rubber peice in there with i found in the drivers door thats sorted. wired all the speakers up in there as the wasnt working. also got a free cd player with the car. 85 quid to buy brand new all the speakers in the car are 4x60w pioneers

so bits i think i need so far are
2 rubbers for back box
passenger side rear wheel bearing
glove box
parcel shelf
a rear towing eye cover
some wheels i currently have bbs on it which i dont like at all

Blimey, 2 cheapo Mk3 Golfs on here both bought off ebay in the last couple of weeks!!!! Doesn't look too bad either.

I've got a decent parcel shelf with no speaker holes.
As for glovebox, theres a bloke in Burgh Le Marsh thats been flogging bits on ebay - he had a couple of gloveboxes the other week when I collected the steering rack for mine. I'll see if I can find his number - his ebay name is rich2608.

also how much you want for the parcel shelf jack as i hate the one thats currently in it it looks like hes kicked the holes into it

today i carried on with cleaning the car. the dashboard must of had 3mm of dust on it. didnt no where to wipe first. now the dash looks like new. but then the nicely hoovered floor was dirty so out cam the hoover. the realising under the carpets are the wires and cables for a sub and amp so now got bass in the car. really does sound nice with a bit of ja rule. will take some pics tomo to show u how clean it has come up. also the bonnet was faded really badly so gave it a polish and now i need to do the hole car lol as the bonnet gleams. hopefully i can go to the spring fest no doubt ill come back from there with an empty wallet

the had a look at the rear wheel bearings and there brand new just not adjusted properly. so there sorted now.

still not happy with the wheels not sure what i want but to be fair in my opinion im not bothered aslong as there of the car lol.

tomo just a few lil jobs to finish. rehang the chavvy back box for mot. as i want a letterbox back box when i can find the one i want. fix the blowers as fan speed 1,2 an 3 dont work.


Also not happy with the ride height so need to find some coilys

also need to get the drivers rear window tinted as the other are done

spoke to my mate he got a glove box £10 if ya want it? he's also gonna do me list of things he has and i'll put them up soon as i get it

sorted the dodgy exhaust today must of been 22 cable ties holding it up also hid all my wires for my sound system aswell i would add some pics but gf lost the digi cam cable she has a habit of using it then not putting it away lol

not bad compared to 250 a month for a civic sport

not to bad tho 1 wheel cylinder leaking which ive replaced this afternoon and 1 tyre so monday ill be on the road

had to do the dirty on the wheel cylinder and smash the f**k outa it with a hammer but now its all done and the brake pedal is better than before by a long way
