Need tyre advice

what size tyres shud i fit

Depends wot look u want to achieve!!!

Std size for 14s on Mk2 is 185/60.

BUT, do you want to go stretched or low profile????

There are 165 14's out there to stretch a bit onto 6" rim (not sure wot aspect ratio tho) or u could go up to 195's (Toyo do a 195/45 or 185/50)

195/45 go on 15's with no stretch i know that much!

think my 9 inch 14's have 215/45 and thats got silly stretch

you'll need 185/60x14 for standard look.. 185/55x14 for low profile but standard width or for a stretch probably 165/55x14

id go for 185/45x 15 if you what to go lowwwwwww,
if not 185/55x14 is the best bet

I run 195/45/14s on my mk2 on standard GTi 6J steels and they look good!

165 55 14's, after youve let slim polish the rims of course. car will need to be low tho, otherwise that size tyre will make the rims look to small.
if your after centre caps , the ones off rm012's fit them rims.

the right size for a 9 would be 225/40x14 which should give the right rolling radius mate but obviously wouldn't be as much of a stretch

my mk2 has been lowed 40 mm so it fairly low ill get sum pics of it up

my old mk2 was 80mm onto 15's dint look to bad, think if your goin for them 165's you'll need coilies to get them lookin right.

was just wonderin if anyone had some pics of a 165 streched over a 6 inch rim, juast wana get an idea of what they look like
