| Looking at buying a corrado but its not a car that caught my eye originally and so know nothing about them. The one im looking at will only be a 1.8 16v otherwise insurance companies would try to me! Since a few of you guys on here have lived with them day in day out just wondered what their like as a daily, what to look out for when buying, how many miles are too many for that particular model of car and stuff like that? cheers callum | |

| mine was a pretty good buy tbf, came with all the good bits just needed painting,do NOT go for tornado red as it is the worst colour and no matter how much u try n polish it back up u will find patches u just cant sort out and it will wreck ur head!!! mine was a h-plate n had 114k which i think was fairly low miles for that reg. usual things to check with a dub, suspension mounts, sills, oil leaks, if its been looked after ie fsh then ur gonna do allright. basically a mk2 underneath, also remember these are getting rare so panels might be a twat to find, rot on front driverside wing, rear passenger quarter near the sill, might be a fluke but ive seen a couple going in the same place. as for living with it,great fun to drive, 9s out back without arch work can be a pain,i swapped my borbs for some d90s that were 8s and could drop the rado to the floor and could drive it!! like i said basically a mk2 underneath,so mk2 bits will fit. k-jet engines are a bit pap but if its looked after then it will be fine. fuel economy is ok,depends how u drive it like everything else really. hope this helps mate! | |

| cheers for the reply, unfortunately it is tornado red but since my last two dubs have been the same colour Ive got enough stocks of spare paint and T cut to deal with that as I know the pain of seeing red panels fade, think I'll have to have a listen to the engine as its on 140,000 odd miles but Im very tempted by the looks to go for it if its solid underneath and its only £800 quid with 12 months MOT | |

| did consider it but im sh*t at anything mechanical and need something with tax and test so I can have it running straight away as I average about 500 miles a week just going betwen uni and home. Think ive found another corrado, taking the advice and avoiding a tornado red one now. This one is mystic blue and has every stamp in the service book plus reciepts for services every six months since the book ran out! | |
