Proper G vento...... the G stands for Grandad

Right after the death of the jetta i finaly found another dub,

its a 1995 vw vento 1.8 cl and only 77k on the clock, best i could get for 500 quid at the time.

not got any pics yet but heres one from the ad



already removed the vento badge and replacin it with my old jetta badge jus need to decide where to put it,

coilovers on this week and im painting the steels untill i get the cash for a phat set of rims,

Thinkin of goin for a burgandy and cream colour scheme but not to sure just yet,

but first job is a new cambelt 77k with out having it changed.......not a good idea

seen yas thread about smoothing bumpers etc... tbh i wouldnt bother, looks sweet as it is, plus if you do them your gonna have to get the side mouldings removed / filled / smoothed etc,... before you know it its gonna start costing silly money.... seen as you got the coilies etc , save get some ronal turbos then drop it , few other subtle mods then leave it mate, bangers are ment to be messed around with but if its a 77k grandad motor keep it minty and dont mess with it too much..

it may b a grandad motor but no were near mint, needs a totaly new interiour and need a few car park dints sortin so may as well get the black plastic colour coded while im there... and the numberplate recess smoothed, then thinkin borbet t's wit a colour coded lip

looks nice mate,coilies n then rims bud,it will make the car!

same with mine, i have nothing but coilies, rims, exhaust, and a VR splitter. Makes all the difference!

I wouldn't smooth it Jamie. Who ever does it will probably fook it up and the filler will fall out or crack.

Looks sick lower! Bring it round tomorrow I've got the strobe gun at mine. Will clean the idle air valve to see if we can improve the tick over too!

makes me wish my vento had smaller rims on it now, as soon as it does, I'l be as low as that!

lol im still tryin to decide what size rims im after, i like the stance as it is.... but theres way 2 much tyre on those rims, thinkin 15 x 9 on the back with a load of strech, should b ok,

bit of an update today:

had a set of 10mm spacers and a set of camber shim lying around so ....

thought id add a bit of Neggy camber

nah man got an idea for the rims, thinkin cream and body colour rims

you need a VR splitter, then you will look like this...

a VR splitter wont fit its to low lol

jus a lil update, using my bros alloys at the mo because he's usin mine for his mot but realy need to raise the suspension now cant actuly drive anywere......





also sprayin up my steels while there not on my car
