PostSubject: Kimmys Vento    Kimmys Vento EmptyTue Apr 05, 2011 1:20 pm

Hi all not really been on here that much since i sold my Seat Inca last summer then I bought a pretty standard Vento 1.9 tdi at the end of October for 500 squids for a winter runaround but since then I've fallen in love with the old coal burner Laughing

Things already done when i got it:-
Shitty fox alloys
Lowered
Pretty much straight through exhaust(only middle silencer)
Diesel tuning box(dont know if it does anything lol)

Things that needed doing when I got it:-
Rear axle bushes was proper fooked
Some brake pipes
Track rod ends
Wishbones
Front suspension bushes

Things I have done to it:-
1900 mim deep dish alloys 15inch n new rubber with red dice valve caps
Debaged fk front grille
Custom smoked headlights
Vr6 splitter(that don't fit bumper properly)
Smoked side repeaters with window tint film
Lowered the front some more but need it a bit lower(tempted to lop a coil off the springs but not sure bout doing this)
Gti arch trims
Gti side trim on the doors
New beetle gear knob
Mk4 golf gear gaitor with red stitching
Tail pipe off my old Fiesta turbo lol
No.plate surrounds
Pressed legal no.plates

Thing I'm doing soon:-
Gti side skirts
Black mirrors
Smoked font indicators n blanks(maybe window tint film again)
Ive got some Fiesta turbo recaro seats to go in soon if I can get some old seats to butcher for the runners
Paint the brake calipers n drums red

And when I've got some cash together I will be getting the bonnet, front bumper, boot and all the bottoms of the doors painted up to get rid of rusty bits and bad paintwork

Heres some pics>

in my opinion the back wheels need spacing out.

by the photos the front seems to stick out more than back??????

otherwise it looks smart.

it just needs a better stance

I'll have to check them out slim what was the ride like with them?

Your absolutely right mate the fronts do stick out further wich don't look too good at the min. I'll have to get me rear arches glued on then take to them with the grinder and get some spacers on there 10mm or something to bring them out like the fronts. Might have to get some 175/50 15's for the rear wich are on the front rather than the 195/45 15's and get em wel spaced out to look right.

Love the wheels on it, suit it well. But they spacers would be better.

Sweet! How do I go about making them an offer for the coiles slim? Put an offer on eBay or something? Anyone know where I can get some 10mm hubcentric spacers? Cus they all seem to start at 15mm ones.

Went and got some old seats off Messy the other night that he had in a mk3 that is bound for the scrap yard so I can use the runners to fit my fiesta turbo recaro seats. Got both sets of seats pretty much stripped down and runners removed ready so I can weld them together and hopefully get them fitted this weekend, I'll post pics up when they're in. Should look pretty cool.
Also the mk3 had electric windows so had them off him aswel gonna fit them sometime but the switches and handles they go into are light grey so I'm after some black ones if anyones got any for sale?

I got the Festa turbo Recaros fitted a couple of weeks ago and they are awesome seats. Ya aint moving anywhere they really do hold you in well Smile
Still need to paint over the primer on sub frames of them where I had to mod and weld them up to fit. Was about 5 hours getting them in.
The first try went wrong and my head was nearly touching the roof when sat in one lol.

Kimmys Vento S7001179

Should be fitting the electric windows and black mirrors next week.
And hopefully got some coilovers coming at the end of the month to get her leveled out.
