Mk2 Golf C

Wll i would of posted earlier but been i hospital with the new arrival for nearly 3 months (born 12 weeks early)

So anyway i bought this car for 87 quid of ebay E reg 1.3 golf



Lowered on WEITEC suspension kit Springs and shocks
its also had a gearbox as when my boy was just born it packed up so been using my dads b reg polo saloon.

did have some alloys on but tyres are illegal so back on some mk 3 steelies.
will try and update with pics tomo of how it looks now.

also want some big bumpers and i dont like the red lip under the front bumper

also after a set of wings so i can get this car back to its former glory

cant fault that for the money mate! hope all is well with ure son!!

I think messy does wings for a tenner a piece?

Bit of an update

also with the bumpers from adi. make the car look totaly different. also cheers for the advice on how to fit em. it only took bout an hour. all the bolts and fixings undid very easy. as i have reciepts for the bumpers which were on the car. so in all an easy job, cheers for the door tray aswell.







got an awesome idea for the car now its got the bumpers on

half way up to white white will be sprayed black. then have the roof chequered black and white. lower it another inch. and put my old alloys back on which i got of jamie

looks better, i see you repaired the fixing too, as it sits better than it did on mine

anyone got any rimage that might look sweet on this

180 quid if anyone wants it. no mot. 2 months tax. bout 2 grands worth of reciepts. just put a new gearbox init but not finished the job due to starting a new job and being totally nakered after work(8 till 7). saving for a new car. or if someone has a mk2 polo i will swap

lol i didnt think think that a citreon zx had the same bumpers and wheels!

well yesterday was in the garage. messing with the golf. as noone considered to buy it i thought with my 2 days of id take a look at it and see what i could do.

to start with i took the gearbox as the clutch arm would move. i then found that the thrust bearing was sitting back in the right place. then i realised the gearbox was of a newer car. so chiseled behind it and grinded the lugs of from around the outside. slide the gearbox on and it worked a treat. i could at last press the clutch down. then put it back together.

then went to turn it over and no battery light on the dash. so checked all the electrics and all looked fine. then i decided to see how many earths go from engine. NONE. chucked in a few earths and it came to life:)

as it was running the metel pipe from the water pump started to leak. . looked like more hardwork lol. went inside as i was freezing.

went out this morning and made a gasket, put it on and no water leak BONUS. put the front bumper back on. all done. hopefully will be moted in a few days so can drive it agen.

slight tap on top end but that should be easy fixable with a few 10mm spanners.
