this is my latest buy not bad for £100 fsh 70.000 miles motd till oct iv just spent a few pounds on ebay so should look good at the next meet Razz let me no what you think anyways

You dont need a crane! Imo best way to get a lump out of a mk2 or 3 is to unbolt the front end, can be done in 20mins and then just wheel the lump out on a skateboard n trolley jack. Gives you loads more room too!

just the spoiler , and springs to go on, and a de-badged grill, and ally plates when i got more money to play with. its had a lot dont to it iv changed all the int i.e seats cards the plastic kick plates p shelf iv also got a letterbox backbox to got on but its needs a pipe adding to it to make it fit so that will have to wait for now but not to long Very Happy

Funnily enough I haven't removed an engine out of a golf this way (but have other cars), but I have taken the front end off a mk2 and a mk3 before. Both very similar, front bumper off, grille off, unplug/unhose the radiator, unplug headlights, then just unbolt the whole front slam panel with the radiator and headlights still attached. You'l be amazed how easily you can wheel an engine out then, and no need for a crane Cool

look what turn up today after waiting over a month for them to come as my local sortting office was broken in to and a lot of stuff was nicked i didnt think il ever get any in time. they will be going on tomorrow Smile

well dont put the adjusters in just sit em on the springs as ull get a horrible noise everytime u hit a bump as ur shocks will stretch a hell of a way more than ur springs


(same ones i had on my mk3 8v lol)

how do they work then? suspension looks weird,all the bits except for struts,do they just sit over original?

yea m8 just replace the springs but not sure how andy will get on on ariginal struts as mine were 20mm lower anyway with mine bein the gti and harder shocks
