1990 Polo C

Had this bout a month now to cover me after my cordoba started playing up.
(It will live again)
Heres some pics of the polo when I got it from some old guy who was only the second owner but had kept in in his garage for the past twelve years, shame to see a car like this just sitting their but all the better for me.



Then decided to put on some steelies of a mk3 which I sanded down and resprayed red and put on these black center caps supposedly off a g40???





Bought a roof rack off ebay yesterday



have sanded it down and re sprayed it matte black(anything to get out of doing my essays for uni)



Thats it for now, picking up some nice wheels for it on saturday and got a drop in mind just need to save up again.

lol dno i get bored easy so have to keep swopin, in a mk2 golf atm, theres nop problem cuttin springs on polos my parade was well sick with 3 coils cut out

Tbh ive already got the springs just im lazy and cba to have a go at fitting them myself and yes your parade did look sick as fook

shes ran down now since some fucker crashed into me just made it look so tatty, then i took my alloys off because the tires were dead and sh*t grip on snow. Also lost my wheel trim as you might have seen. What do you have planned for this? I dunno about chopped springs lol same some money and get coil overs

fook spendin 600 quid on polo coilovers tbh with cuts iv never had a problem and my mates been doin it for like 12 years on his and only ever have one spring snap and that was in a banger race, u in skeg atm then cal or u back at uni ?

Im at uni atm, only paid thirty for some second hand springs that should drop it 60mm make it look nice

Pondering mods for this shopping list includes:

BBS RA's

Get the 60mm drop springs fitted

If springs^above dont put it down enough think i'll save up when i start working again and gey some coilies

Either get one of the original red and black mk2 polo seats or look into fitting a mk2 golf interior in black leather (did find one for sale but not sure on fitting. Any Advice?)

Quick update, picked up set of these yesterday, have had to order new centre caps as the previous owner had fcked two of them, gave them a quick clean bu think i'll wait for the weather to improve till I put them on



Also put in seat covers(not ideal) but got gf to sew vw patches onto them, think they look alright for dubbing on a budget.

Tried putting the BBS on today just to get an idea of what tyres i need as the profile they've currently got is huge. Found that my standard bolts aren't long enough (more money). Tried to get a pick of how they'd look and with these tyres it turns out their ridiculous



low profile then bring the car down on to them is what i need.

Anyone got any ideas for tyre sizes if I get the car dropped 60mm, was thinking bout 175/50 but dont know if this will give me room, not to bothered about getting stretch as need to do a lot of miles. Help!!!

u cud go from 165/50 to 195/45. type camskill into google, they list loads of sizes, prices ok aswell

think I got owned might have to steal the whole number plate on the roof rack idea though

Spent good part of today removing the parade logos and pinstriping which has left brighter paint underneath which hopefully will be unnoticable once the rest of the car is T cut'd. Also stickered up the back drivers side window

keep at it m8 and get some piccies up

Got the new tyres on the BBS and they look mint will give her a wash tomorrow and get some pics up.

Didn't notice that before, thats strange.

Was going to try give her a clean and get some pics but since I tried getting over some rather large speed bumps saturday night ended up dismantalling the exhaust and then spending all of yesterday rebuilding and making it sit higher. Seems to be a success although won't be attempting any big speed bumps again to find out but at least it doesn't scrape so bad down my drive
