1990 Polo C

thats what I kept telling myself when the gearbox was grinding out this morning trying to get up a curb

Finally got some decent weather to give it a wash and get some pics









really hit a wall now at where to go next, possibly rusting a spare bonnet ive got???

polo is lookin sweet dude, what size are your RAs to have tyres that huge on them?

if ya want hand rusting a bonnet gimme a shout rusted 1 perfect on my old mk1 golf see below

Their 13" RA's which could use a tidy as they've been restored already but really badly and the paint work is terrible. Thought smaller was the way foreward after I put 16's on my last polo



drove about 2 miles and took them off as had already cut new grooves in the tyres

The bonnet looks good, the more I think about it the more im liking the idea, will give you a shout when I go back to the shire (stuck at uni in london atm) to get some advice on how its done.

Quick Update - Just ordered some new shocks and springs to bring it down another 20mm and hopefully sort out the handling issues ive got with shortened springs on standard shocks

handlin issues ??? only issuses i had on chopped springs was that i fooked a shock.....my little olop wen round roundabouts near on flat out....well fast enuff to keep up wiv the faster cars all the way to springfest etc

its more the shitty roads atm and hitting pot holes on bends sending it bouncing round corners

yea man ur rite there too coz they dont weigh fook all....used to hate goin to the coast in me loon

my parade handled quite nice on the cuts..... cept when there was a pot hole and ya got some air off it when u in skeg next callum iv just got a new dub reckon we should get a few peeps 2gether for a cruise to hubbard hills next month lol

Quick update firstly mamaged to win the polo of the month competition over on the polo3 website

means i get to go in their calendr at the end of the year (i'll try and get a shot showing the wold stickers on the sides)

Also got tom to fit the new springs and shocks so its sitting 80mm on the front and 100mm on the rears, will get some pics up tomorrow after ive given it a wash

cheers mate, when i went past yours saw an estate, didnt think it would be yours if im honest but tom told me bout it. Im back on the friday and saturday of next weekend mate

gave the engine bay a clean and some paint

cheers for the replies guys. Got bored today so made some new centre caps hollowing out lego blocks and gluing them on the valve caps, had made some before but used the wrong glue and it faded the bricks


Also took the roof rack off



Dont know if its cos ive got used to it but it feels like their something missing without it

Personally mate, i much prefer it without the roofrack......

love racks on ratty beetles.. but not on many other motors..

be better fuel economy too...aint i a tite fucker
