been at the unit all day and at 6 decided to get on me bike and pedal bk there...got on with grindin the heater channel ready for weldin ANand makin the 3 patches needed to repair it....will get bk down there in the mornin and get that welded up

plans are to get the rest of the weldin done but im not sure if the lads are gonna make me priority

yesterday did some weldin on the heater channel gonna finish that off today i think then theres only bout 3 plates left to weld

the weldin continues....didnt weld owt yesterday just started tartin sh*t up underneath with some bitchumin paint....looks spankin

hopin to get some more paintin and stuff done as its summin cheap i can do.....tried to do some weldin again on her but seem to have forgotten all i was taught and have fooked it up.....will av to be a job for craig and rick to finish the weldin i think....i need 2 new wings for the mot one is that full of holes its more holes then wing and the other looks fine but the head light mountin bits have all rotted out....been tryin to source some wings and they are like rockin horse sh*t....£104 for new ones (each)....mite av to to try repair these old ones but i know atleast one of em is too far gone.....frnt valance is knackered too ...rest of it is fine its just the lower 6 inches ..so we gonna chop it and make a new plate and skim it and fill it....bit of work but cheaper and easier then doin the whole panel

fuckin wifes doin me head in so by default think i better go do summin top the bug today....think we need a little space......gonna finish paintin all the bits i can underside in black bitchumin and then im gonna paint me frnt suspension struts in red hammerite....hey it'll gimme summin to do

for anyone thinkin of graftin the wrong wiongs on there beetle my advice is dont....fiddly as fook its doin me head in refittin then takin off modifyin again then refittin

I kinda hope you keep the yellow wings, with the rear wings and both valances painted to match it'd look pretty good on those wheels I reckon.

For a £500 bug, it's not got a lot of rot, and I say that in all seriousness.
