how to turn mk3 golf into 2.0 gti

[b]now then ive got a mk3 golf 1.4 however i have also evrything from a gti any 1 no if i have to take all my wiring lume to put the gti 1 in along with gti engine gear box and ecu or is there an easier way let me no thkz roy

I think the engine bay loom should be plug and play into the fuse box. Not sure whether fuel pump(s) are different. Plus brakes, front and rear suspension are different....
Tbh I would think about buying a decent ish complete GTi, swap good bits off yours and then flog your 1400. My GTi cost me £250 off ebay and its pretty good for a 1992. Also, some insurance companies have issues with 'conversions'.
As I've said before - why build something that can be easily (and cheaply) bought??

as i said in the other trend mate its alot of fucking about and ull ba able 2 buy a gti for less my mk3 cost me 500 and it was mint spent a bit more on my valver but it was 1 owner from new andonly had 30k on clock so i splashed out and spent 1700 on that drove it for a year and sold it for 1900

think best way 2 go for u is 2 buy a gti and spend ur time and money in making that mint and u wont loose much if any when u come 2 sell

im will never lose out either way asmyn was a bargian and id still make on it i have a mk3 gti its jus the insurance side i dnt wnt gti on log book haha does any1 have a 1.4 gear box goin cheap then and i cud get the gti with evrything 4 150 and i cnt find a 1.4 box cheaper then that

mayb ur r8 m8 i myt jus look for gear box 4 myn and do a seperate project
